Behold my terrible music taste. There's no particular order, I just post them whenever. New entries at the top, which is different from my old layout. One page, too.

Got music recommendations? Send them my way, check out the Contact page in misc.

Descendents - ALL

All? NO, ALL!

Boards of Canada - Geogaddi

A creepy album from Boards of Canada, with a few bangers on it. If you've ever watched Salad Fingers, you'll probably recognize one of the tracks on here.

HEADLICE - Vol. 1

The debut album of Australian punk band HEADLICE. Reminds me of The Chats, except a little more violent. Or maybe I'm just being racist, because they're both Australian. Are Aussies a race? Who cares.

Rav - I'm on to Me

A cathartic album about feeling like shit.

Jeffery Lewis - Cult Boyfriend

A song to make you feel better about being crushingly alone.

Pavement - Brighten The Corners: Nicene Creedence Edition

An expanded two-CD version of Pavement's 1997 album, Brighten The Corners, released in 2008 with a bunch of extra tracks and B-sides.

Matt Watson - OUCH!

Funny Youtube man, Matt "The Unabomber" Watson does it again. Apparently he made this one entirely by himself during lockdown. It's pretty good.

Funkadelic - Maggot Brain

You just need to listen to it, man. They went with the first take for the opening track, and the guitarist was on LSD playing as if his mom had died. It's amazing.

Pilotredsun - bootleg

A fan-made compilation album of a bunch of Pilotredsun's unsorted music from shit like his Bandcamp, Patreon, Tumblr, etc. It's good music, sort of gives you the same vibes as playing a 2007 point-and-click game at 11PM.

Hanatarash - 4: AIDS-a-Delic

tfw no bulldozer husbando

The Caretaker - Everywhere At The End Of Time

Hey kid, wanna have a fucking existential crisis?

Meth Wax - Pheromones

A song about, uh... pheromones, I guess. Or sex in general, really. It's a good song.

Failure - Fantastic Planet

An alt-rock album from the mid-90s. I know, I'm shocked by the originality, too. In all honesty, though, it's a good album. Good music to have on in the background while you're doing shit. I'd say it's 'driving music', but that'd probably just be because my parents used to listen to a lot of this shit on long car rides.

Afourteen - Amerikkka

A song released on June 4th in response to all the shit happening in America right now. Fuck the police.

Everything Everything - Get to Heaven

An album about the global tensions and political happenings of 2014 and early 2015. Remember when shit wasn't completely fucked?

The String-Bo String Duo - Putting Caps into Ancaps

Good music for pissing off those with a strange ideology. I mean, can you really expect that if corporations are given free reign, they'll act in the interests of the people? No, they won't.

Nena - 99 Luftballons

I mean, come on. Who doesn't like this song? I'll tell you who. Losers. If you'd prefer an english version, there's one here.

eels - Beautiful Freak

Wanna feel weird for 43 minutes straight? No? Too bad, this album does that. It reeks of 1996.

Jello Biafra & the Guantanamo School of Medicine - White People and the Damage Done

The second album by Biafra's new band, and it's a fucking banger. If you like hardcore punk and you're not one of those creeps who finds Jello's voice really offputting, this is a great album to listen to. Bought it on vinyl yesterday.

CAKE - Comfort Eagle

The fourth studio album by CAKE, and probably the one I like the most. It's similar to Soul Coughing both in how John McCrea sings and how it takes a few listens to get into it.

SLAVES - Are You Satisfied?

The first EP by SLAVES, which used to be a good band until they started churning out pop-punk garbage. This album's mostly good shit, though.

Vargskelethor - Skeleton Metal III

The third spooky installment of the Skeleton Metal albums. Vargskelethor is Joel Varg Johanson's alias for his meme music, as well as being his Twitch username. If it sounds good, that's because he's in an actual metal band.

Beck - Hyperspace

I actually bought the Spotify fans-only vinyl of this. It's pretty good. First track's the kind of thing you can fall asleep to.

mcbaise - She's a Big Boy

It's about pegging. Apparently.

Darcy Clay - Jesus I Was Evil

It was a number 5 hit in 1997, apparently. All of the instruments were recorded by Darcy in his bedroom, which I think is pretty impressive.

808 State - Transmission Suite

I found out about this one on Hotline Cafe. This kind of music isn't usually my thing, but I thought I'd give it a try. Turns out I like it.

Ho99o9 - War Is Hell

I like music with lots of noise. Not lots of sound, lots of noise. I'm sure you get what I mean.

The Halo Benders - God Don't Make No Junk

It's a pretty good album, but if I'm being honest I can't remember most of the songs from it. Maybe I haven't listened to it enough, who knows.

The Stranglers - Golden Brown

haha heroin d00de

Matt Watson - No Nut November

A song about not spurting your 'gurt.

pilotredsun - Achievement

A cool album by a cool guy who makes cool videos. I don't really know how to describe it, but it's cool.

Terrible Tim - Terrible Tim Spreads Love

Surprisingly difficult to really say what I like about this one. It's just good, I guess.
Yeah, I'm good at music reviews.

Fatboy Slim - Put It Back Together

Not sure what I really like about this one. Maybe just the general vibe it gives off. Then again, saying that makes me sound like a fucking nerd.

Porno for Pyros - Kimberly Austin

It's relaxing, I guess.

Marcy Playground - Marcy Playground

Marcy Playground's first album, as far as I'm aware. More songs about opioids, and one about Dungeons & Dragons. They're pretty calm songs, as you'd probably imagine music by a band that has some sort of opium obsession would be.

atlas - chamomile

It's very comfy. Although I guess it does make me feel kind of lonely. Either way, I like it. I think.

Brother Ali - Can't Take That Away

Heard it while I was listening to my Daily Mix last night. It's calm and makes me feel slightly better about things. Been listening to it on loop while I write this.

Death Grips - Exmilitary

IF YOU'RE DELUSIONAL, YOUR CALL WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO THE MOTHERSHIP.
Yeah, I know, Death Grips is a meme. I still really like this mixtape, though. Not sure what exactly I like about it, I just do. Try listening to it when you go for a jog, makes you feel like MC Ride's chasing you with a hammer.

Chipmunks on 16 Speed - Sludgefest

I've heard this album described as "sounding like you're about to be murdered in a bar bathroom". I've never been murdered in a bar bathroom, but that feels pretty accurate to me.

Macintosh Plush - Floral Shoppe

An album from back when vaporwave was anti-consumerist and anti-capitalist, instead of the lazily paulstretched "a e s t h e t i c" 80s pop garbage it seems to be now. It's actually a good album, and the reason I unironically like (liked?) vaporwave.

ORB - A Man in the Sand

Not sure what exactly to say about this one. I mean, it's very obviously an anti-war song. Either that, or I'm fucking terrible at understanding lyrics. Anyway, it's nice on a sonic level at least.

Marcy Playground - Shapeshifter

It's got a few good tracks, but whenever I listen to it I usually end up feeling weird. I'm not sure why. Probably because half the songs are about heroin, or something.

Utro - Утро

Pretty sure the title translates to 'First Album', or something. I don't speak Russian, and I can barely read Cyrillic, but it sounds alright. I'm pretty sure I found out about this one through a Vinesauce stream.

Soul Coughing - Ruby Vroom

Another Soul Coughing album that I didn't really like that much at first, but after listening to it a few times, I started to sort of like it. I think the first track that I liked on the album was Screenwriters Blues. Give it a few listens, see if it's your thing or not.

Soul Coughing - El Oso

An album that I honestly didn't really like that much at first, only really liking songs like Fully Retractable and Maybe I'll Come Down, but I guess it grew on me, or something. It's a nice album if you like... whatever genre this is.

Jay Tholen - Hypnospace Outlaw OST

If you like crusty MIDIs, you'll probably like this. A few of the other songs from the OST aren't in these playlists, but I'm pretty sure that's because they hired other bands and artists to make some of it, and they preferred to put it on their own bandcamp pages. I'd also recommend checking the game out on Steam.

American Anymen - Flag Burner

The first (and only, so far) song from American Anymen that I've listened to. It's a neat song, but some of the lyrics are pretty poorly written. The dude ryhmes "years" with "years" at one point. It's also not on Spotify, even though the rest of their songs are. I wonder why.
